9am service lunch today Sunday at 12.30 in The Centre. On this occasion our international members of the congregation will be cooking a Middle Eastern meal for us. Please sign up at the back of church if you would like to come along. On this occasion we ask for a small donation (on the day) to cover costs. Feel free to bring a cold drink of your choice to share. Main course and desserts will be provided.

Discipleship morning: Saturday 10th June “The Liturgical Year” and the Reformation - Maurice Stanton-Saringer. We will be learning about the shape and format of the liturgical year, thinking through the different seasons and what is at the heart of them.

Quiz night We are holding a quiz night and auction of gifts at BPC on Friday 30th June, 7:30pm. All money raised on the night will go towards the purchase of a safe house for Place of Grace (http://www.placeofgraceuk.org.uk). The house will be used to provide refuge to vulnerable children at risk of abuse in Bangkok Thailand. Tickets £5 per person. Snacks and donation bar provided. Please email joannahailey@yahoo.co.uk to purchase a ticket or donate a gift for the auction. With thanks, Jo and Max Hailey

Christian Aid: Thank you to everyone who contributed to this year's Christian Aid fundraising efforts.  From the church collections and the Soup Lunch, we raised a magnificent £825, which will help to create lasting change in the world's poorest communities.

Bitternes Afloat: Thank you to all those who prayed for the Bitternes Afloat youth Sailing Cruise this year.  This year we managed to return to pre-pandemic numbers of young people attending and although it was a very windy week (which led to some tired skippers) we saw many answers to prayer.  If you would like to continue to support us in prayer then please pray for our summer cruise which will run from the 10th - 14th of July and is primarily for the benefit of our young leaders.

Church Camping Weekend and Away-Day.  BPC is heading off to Stampwell Farm once again 14th-16th July.  You can come just for the Saturday to enjoy teaching, fellowship, worship, a BBQ and kids’ activities or camp one or both nights too.  Please book at bpchurch.uk/camping

Parish W/E Away 2024: This will be at Kents Hill Conference Centre, Milton Keynes. The speakers will be Revd Paul and Christine Perkin who led our last ‘staycation’ so well. To book please visit bpchurch.uk/kentshill

Calling all Spring Harvesters: Booking your place is essential for next Easter 8th -12th April. Deposit of £35 per adult is also needed to secure your place.
See Flo Thornton or email flo.thornton@gmail.com. Booking date is June 14.

Summer Clothes for the Asylum Seekers and Refugees: As the summer months approach we are in need of men’s t-shirts, shorts, joggers, trainers and underwear. There are new arrivals regularly who are in need. Also any phones, tablets, laptops etc. We specifically need an HDMI cable, if anyone has a spare one. Any financial donations can be made to the church account and labelled ‘Refugees’. Contact Jo Wigley for more information on care@bpchurch.uk.

Greek, Hebrew and Latin: Trinity term started on 17th April and will continue until Saturday 15th July. Greek is on Monday evening and Saturday morning, Hebrew is on Thursday afternoon and Latin on Friday afternoon.
For more information please contact Steve Watkins on 07900 955149 or stephanos@eroumen.co.uk

Giving to BPC: Please use a standing order (forms at the back of church). You can also make donations via Churchsuite or using the card reader at the back of the church. We don’t take up offerings during services but you can use any of the above methods or slip cash into the slots in the wall by the font.
