What Happens When I Get There?

When you come into the Church building, someone will greet you at the door and offer you a copy of the weekly notices and maybe a song book, although words for all the songs are projected on the screen at the front.

The Services normally start at 9.00am, 11.00am and 6.00pm.  Click on the links to learn more about each service.
Morning services last about an hour or little longer if communion is involved.  Services will normally consist of singing, Bible readings, prayers and an easy to listen to talk.  If you’d like to know what the talks are like, you can listen to previous ones online before you come!

Please sit wherever you like.  Before and after the morning/evening service there is a chance for a free coffee or tea, and an opportunity to meet members of the Ministry Team.

Is There Anything For My Children?
Usually during the 11am and the 6pm Sunday services the children can join their own groups. We also have a crèche for the under 3s.  Further details on our kids page.

Will I Be Asked To Give Money?
There will be a collection, but don’t feel embarrassed to pass the collection basket on without putting anything in it.  Many Church members contribute directly through their bank accounts so you won’t be the only one passing it on!

What Should I Wear?
There is no dress code for any of our services, come in whatever you are most comfortable in.

We hope this helps to explain what our Church is like. Please do come along, we’d love to see you!  If you are still nervous after reading this, please contact us and someone would love to meet you and show you around.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at BP Church for our Sunday Services starting at 9am, 11am or 6pm. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team who will be wearing a Welcome lanyard.

We serve tea, coffee and biscuits before the services begin. It is a great way to meet people, or simply take time to find your bearings. All refreshments are free.

What about my kids?

Click here for our kids programme.

The kids group activities vary depending on the age but usually there is a friendly welcome, bible stories, testimonies, praying, music, craft, drama, fun games and free play. Please pick your children up as soon as the service finishes.

Getting Connected

Connect Groups

While Sundays are a great way to meet new people, it is often in smaller gatherings that you can really get to know someone. Being part of one of our small groups allows you to make new friends, share together and support each other. We have a variety of groups that meet throughout the week, some afternoons and some evenings. Check out Connect Groups and see if there’s one that you could join, or we can put you in touch with a small group leader who will be more than happy to invite you along to their group.
